Cenarth Fox is an Australian playwright, composer and author whose plays, musicals and books are performed and sold around the world mainly in Britain, North America, Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
Fox’s material appeals to all ages. Some of his shows [Suburban Circus, Fairy Tales and Toys] have been staged by children, teenagers and adults. He has created Christmas musicals for 5-8 year old children, five-minute plays and ten-minute musicals for 8-14 year old actors, one and two-act plays and musicals for adults and much more. Cast sizes range from 1 to many. The most number of performers to have performed a Fox musical is 440.
There is a large-cast musical about the life and work of Shakespeare [Shakespeare the Musical] and a two-hander about teaching a Vietnamese woman how to speak Elizabethan English [Shakespeare in Saigon].
The musicals have full piano/vocal scores, backing CDs and band parts. All plays and musicals come with practical, free handouts on staging the show with free lyric sheets for chorus members in musicals.
Reviews of Fox’s work are outstanding and many directors have staged his shows over the last 30 years. One major benefit is that Fox is happy to communicate with directors should they wish to do so.
Almost all his publications are available for preview on-line here - see Preview Scripts in the Main Menu.
